At Dakota Textiles, employees with disabilities work alongside nondisabled workers, rather than in segregated settings. Based in Pleasant Valley near Sturgis, South Dakota, their factory also contributes to this small community’s economic structure.

Operating in a small town produces higher quality products than they could achieve elsewhere they know their workers individually, they emphasize quality control, and they break the manufacturing process into small steps so workers with any disabilities can participate.

Dakota Textiles is part of Black Hills Special Services Cooperative an organization committed to employment of all people including those with major disabilities. Dakota Textiles prides itself in making some of the finest quality medical scrubs, made from 100% American-made materials.
