Belmont Textile Machinery
Belmont Textile Machinery Company Incorporated was founded in 1955 from a hands-on knowledge of textile winding, when Marshall Rhyne, Sr. began selling new and used winder parts. Two years later, the company was rebuilding winders, and in 1959, Belmont’s first winder was introduced. Belmont has in essence grown with the carpet industry, from the beginning when there was a need for “heavy duty” winders for larger denier yarns that are used in carpet.
In 1968, the company introduced the Model 68-10 winder that gained immediate recognition as the standard of the industry for de-knitting and autoclave heat setting applications. Related to the autoclave heat setting process, the company began building reels, both the Model 72B and Model 78C, as well as the Pneumatic Vertical Swift. At present, Belmont is a company that has developed a special niche in the carpet industry, wherein it derives approximately 90% of its annual sales. Belmont exports approximately 15% of its annual production through established agents in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Canada, and Japan.
